Why is the Italian national soccer team jersey blue?
Long ago in Italy, there was a royal family known as the House of Savoy. They were the rulers of the land, and their official color was "blue". When Italy's national soccer team was born, they choose the blue jersey to honour their country's history and unity under the House of Savoy. And so, the blue jersey became a symbol of Italy's soccer pride, known as "Azzurri" or "blues" in Italian.
