Adidas go down the German history rabbit-hole on their new Bayern Munich third kit – this one pays homage to Germany’s constructing of some of the world’s oldest playing cards. That’s right, the small logos in the embossed crisscross graphic wrapping the jersey are German suits – Heats, Bells, Acorns and Leaves. These are some of the earliest iterations before the internationally accepted French model of diamonds, spades, hearts and clubs took over.
